Accounts Receivable and Collections Manager

About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading SaaS publishing platform and own the end-to-end AR and collections workflow.

As the Accounts Receivable and Collections Manager for the commercial arm of the business, you will work closely with the sales teams to own, refine, and continuously improve the collections process from raising sales invoices, arranging customer account renewal reviews and cash collection across our UK and US client base.

This is a highly hands on role and an opportunity to establish yourself as a key pillar within the business. 

Work with leading brands to extend usage of our digital document design software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all collections
  • Raising invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Effective debt collection of overdue accounts by telephone, email, and other means as necessary.
  • Providing detailed debtors reporting and commentary.
  • Working the sales teams to understand key accounts and build strong relationships with relevant client finance departments.
  • Managing the workflow of queried invoices.
  • Arranging and chairing meetings with relevant teams to gain sight of any potential issues with upcoming renewing accounts.
  • Keep the CRM up to date with all relevant client information, and review/update regularly.
  • Working with stakeholders across the business to continually improve AR and Collections processes.

Skills/experience required

  • An experienced finance professional with a proven track record in AR and Collections.
  • A high level of understanding across invoice generation through to payment.
  • Extremely organised, confident, and ambitious to succeed.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who can work both autonomously and lead projects involving multiple teams.
  • Experience of effective debt collection and a proactive approach to overcoming payment blockers.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and confident in learning new software.

Qualifications

  • Financial qualification advantageous.

Remuneration

  • Base salary £35,000 to £40,000 dependent on experience.
  • Annual profit share bonus.
