Accessibility - Link Interactivity
Help screen readers make the connection between your interactivity and the content it relates to
Linking interactivity to its related panel ensures that screen readers can recognise the association between a piece of interactivity and its content, and relay that information accurately to the visitor.
- Click on a piece of interactivity on your page.
- Select the 'Link to Panel' icon from the flyout menu.
- Select the panel you would like to link it to.
Interactivity linked to a List panel
If interactivity is linked to a List panel, screen readers will announce the button text rather than the Description field. This is expected, because the button text is what represents the interactivity to the reader.
Ensure button text clearly tells all readers what to expect, for example, ‘Read more about the annual leave policy’.
