The Challenge
The team’s goal was clear: strengthen UPS’s reputation as a military-friendly employer and drive veterans to more meaningful career opportunities.
The UPS Military & Veteran Recruitment team is responsible for engaging the veteran community, driving qualified candidates to UPS job postings through veteran-focused initiatives and boosting visibility as a military-friendly employer.
A key part of the recruitment and communication strategy was the creation of the UPS Military & Veteran Newsletter, a platform designed to share stories, celebrate achievements, and promote new opportunities across the veteran community.

However, with no dedicated design or technical resource, producing a professional, on-brand publication each month presented a challenge. The team needed a simple, efficient way to design, update and distribute the newsletter without relying on external support.
The Solution
Using PageTiger, Eric and the team quickly brought their vision to life. With no previous design experience, they created a 20-page interactive newsletter, featuring image galleries, pop-ups, AI-generated videos and live links, all produced internally, with complete control over design and content.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Stakeholders have praised the design, usability and content, while veterans have said the newsletter makes them feel more connected to the business and better informed about available opportunities.
UPS now proudly employs over 19,000 veterans and has been recognised by Military.com as a top military employer in 2025.
Key measures of success include higher engagement rates, steady subscriber growth, and a measurable increase in veteran applications following each newsletter release.
