Celebrating 10 Years of Andy Peacock at PageTiger

This April marks ten years since Andy Peacock joined PageTiger – and what a decade it’s been! From rebuilding the foundations of our platform to shaping the feature roadmap we follow today, Andy has played a huge role in making PageTiger what it is.

Andy reflects on the highs, the challenges, and everything in between – sharing what he’s learned.

“I left my dream job to join PageTiger,” he says. “What convinced me was my relationship with Oliver Gurnell (PageTiger’s CEO and Co-Founder) from a previous company. I trusted his leadership completely, and I believed in what PageTiger was doing.”

The first challenge? Rebuilding TigerDesigner from the ground up – a task that would set the tone for the years ahead.

“The goal was to overhaul the design tool interface completely. That was my first job. Once that was done, it was all about adding new features and building a team to take things further.”

Andy played a huge part in transforming the platform during that time. Features like AI and avatars are now central to PageTiger, yet ten years ago, they weren’t even on the radar.

“The tech has come a long way,” he says. “But what’s great is that the standard we aimed for back then is the standard we’ve reached. We’ve ended up with a single platform that does so much – design, content generation, assessments and much more – each part could stand alone, but they all work together.”

Andy’s seen users do incredible things with the platform.

The creativity is amazing, seeing how people use the different tools – Layout Library, Fully Editable and Components – it’s genuinely inspiring.”

Of course, the company has changed a lot as well.

"When I joined, we were a small SaaS business with one developer – now our CEO – and funding from a creative agency that made print magazines for hair salons. Now we’re global, with Development being a large team and more in-house talent than ever.”

Growing the team has been one of the biggest challenges but also one of the most rewarding.

“You have to adapt and try new ways of working. But that’s the best part too – seeing the team grow and take ownership, and watching a platform evolve into something almost unrecognisable from where it started.”

Shifting from developer to strategic leader hasn’t always been easy, but it has been amazing..

“Honestly, being considered a grown-up still feels strange!” he jokes. “But stepping back from coding and into leadership has been a big personal journey.”

There have been plenty of highlights along the way.

“Rebuilding Designer has to be one of them. It’s great to see that our decisions all those years ago are still holding up. But I’m equally proud of the team we’ve built and the culture we’ve created. The people I’ve worked with – that’s what sticks with me the most.”

Andy’s impact goes far beyond development – he’s always worked closely with teams across the business.

“It all comes down to communication. When rebuilding the platform, I’d make quick video updates using PageTiger and share them with the team. It helped everyone stay connected to what we were building.”

“We’ve moved away from that a bit, but we’re bringing it back. It made a real difference.”

Thank you, Andy, for an incredible decade. Here's to everything you have achieved and to everything yet to come!
