INSIGHTS

Getting Your Settings Just Right

When you log in to your PageTiger account, you’ll land on the home screen. At the top of the page, you’ll find the menu bar, and it's from here that you will create, share, and track your PageTiger documents.

Design Options

Under CREATE DOCUMENT, you can choose between two starting points:

  1. Upload a File: Transform an existing static PDF or PowerPoint by uploading it to PageTiger and enhancing it with interactivity, access controls, and real-time engagement tracking.

  2. TigerDesigner: Build your document directly in PageTiger with our easy-to-use design tools, choosing from:
    • Layout Library: Use ready‑made, branded layouts that automatically apply your logo and colours. The design is taken care of, just simply drag and drop text and images.
    • Fully Editable (recommended): Start from a blank or pre‑built page and customise every element. This option offers full creative freedom to build unique, on‑brand content.

Initial Set Up

Before unleashing your creativity in the design suite, you must first set up the basics of where your document will be saved within your PageTiger account and what it will be called.

  • Create and name a new folder – e.g., Onboarding.

  • Name your document – e.g., New Starter Onboarding Guide.

  • Review the auto‑generated URL - you can edit it, or keep the default.

Selecting Style

Your selected style determines how your document will be presented and how it behaves for the reader.

These are elements outside of the content that will impact how your document looks and displays across different devices, such as:

  • Document Size and View

  • Toolbar placement

  • How pop‑ups, charts, and interactive elements appear

  • How the document adapts and displays across desktop and mobile

Additional Settings

You can revisit these at any time, but here’s what they control:

Menu: Add a navigation bar to make it easier for your audience to navigate your document and find the information they need more quickly. Linking to other pages, PageTiger documents, or external sites is especially useful to your audience for longer documents like Onboarding Guides or Employee Handbooks.

Domain Name: A default domain (web address) will be allocated to you, ensuring your document URL stays on-brand. If additional domains are available on your account, then you will have the option to select a different one.

Analytics Settings: Decide how you want to track engagement. Options include: PageTiger Analytics, Google Analytics, or connect to your Learning Record Store (LRS) via an experience API (xAPI).
Security Rule: Control access to your document by applying security rules such as passwords, email capture, Single Sign-On (SSO), or IP restrictions.

Document and Version Control

Document: The overall container that holds one or multiple versions of a document, controlling settings such as style, security and domain.

Version: Each version contains the actual document and design. When creating a new document, this section helps you manage and audit multiple versions with ease. It ensures your content is simple to update over time. This scalability and visibility are especially important for managing documents that quickly become outdated, like policies and compliance materials.

Page Size

The Page Size determines the dimensions your content is designed to fit.

  • Book and Presentation formats:
Optimised for screen use and mobile-friendly, so there is no need to set orientation, as they adapt across devices automatically.

  • Standard print sizes
Available in portrait or landscape for documents intended for print or downloadable PDFs.

Click Create Version, and now you are ready to start building your pages.
